As your Disability Employment Services (DES) provider we will:
Explain clearly what services you are eligible to receive through Lantern, what we will do for you, and what we expect from you.
Services within Lantern include:
- Southern Professional Training (SPT)
- Psychosocial Rehabilitation Service “Outreach”(free service)
- Housing Connections (free service)
- Resource Centre (social groups and activities) (free service)
These services are designed to support people with mental health diagnosis that impact on their ability to gain and maintain employment.
We will also refer externally if required.
Your Employment Case Manager (ECM) will assist and support you with:
- Career planning
- Resume and cover letter adaptation
- Goal setting
- Interview skills
- Job applications
- Job searching techniques
- guidance about relevant employment opportunities
- Suitable training/ course information
We also offer access to a computer for job searching purposes between 9-4pm Monday to Friday.
Depending on your circumstances, we can help you and your employer access a range of other support services which may include:
- Modification of your work area
- Purchase of specialised equipment
- Access to additional assistance if your job is in jeopardy
